Tips For Joining the Movement and Engaging with the Art Community
1. Use the hashtag #whoneedsart to join the conversation
2. Follow your local artists and art organizations on their social media pages. Share and support their work, events and tell people about it.
3. Like and share posts from the art community to support their initiatives and events. They are eager to see people back in their spaces!
4. Go to ArtsKCGo and check all the events happening in the region! But please not only check, please make an effort to attend
5. Support artists by buying local! If you are thinking of gifting, buying something for your house, think about your local art community before going online to shop instead! You may be surprised by the things you can find, and you can have original pieces that not everyone in the world has.
